Dr. Holly Romeo

Veterinarian

Dr. Romeo provides care for dogs, cats, and some reptiles and brings a unique educational background to veterinary medicine.

Before attending veterinary school, Dr. Romeo earned a degree in Zoology and later completed a Master of Public Health degree with a focus on Epidemiology, expanding her understanding of infectious diseases, zoonotic diseases, and the important connection between animal, human, and environmental health.

Her veterinary experience includes an internship with the Wildlife Center of Long Island, work as a veterinary assistant in a private small animal practice, and a small animal externship completed during veterinary school. Dr. Romeo was drawn to veterinary medicine through her lifelong love of animals and desire to make a meaningful impact on both animal and public health. She believes veterinary medicine provides a unique opportunity to protect and improve the health of pets, people, and the communities they share.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Romeo enjoys traveling internationally, learning about different cultures, and spending time at the beach. A former NCAA softball player, she remains an avid sports fan and especially enjoys cheering on the New York Mets with her dad. She is grateful for her close-knit family and strong support system, which helped guide her throughout her journey to becoming a veterinarian. Growing up, she shared her home with dogs and even a snake, and her family's beloved rescue dog recently lived to the remarkable age of 17 years old.
